The XERO eScooter Classic is EC Certified for road use under category L1e and is therefore electronically restricted to a top speed of 30 mph. The minimum age for driving the eScooter Classic is 16 and can be driven with either a full UK motorcycle license or full UK driving license (obtained prior to Feb 2001) without L-plates. You can ride with L-plates on a provisional UK driving license but must have passed your CBT.
